Frequent Asked Questions
💎What is an exchange? An exchange is an event where contributors are anonymously paired to create for each other, then it is revealed during posting who created for who.💎What is a rare pair? For this exchange, a rare pair is defined as a pairing or polycule that has less than 300 fics on AO3 using the otp:true search method.💎How old do I have to be to participate?Because we allow all fictional content of any rating, including NSFW and darker themes, you must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the exchange.💎Are spin-off MHA characters permitted?Only MHA main series and movie characters are permitted. This exchange is not for Vigilantes.💎Are NSFW and darker content permitted?Yes! However, gifters will receive a list of their giftee's likes and no-gos, and you must stay within the boundaries of what the giftee requests. For example, if someone asks for no major character death (MCD) but non-con is okay, which are both common dark themes, you can create a piece with non-con but not with MCD.💎How do I avoid being paired with someone I have an issue with?DM a mod with the discord name and AO3 of the person you can't work with. This will be kept confidential. If you don’t want to accidentally receive treats from them, make sure you’ve blocked them on AO3.💎What kind of creations are expected?Writers are to create a fic of at least 1250 words, and artists are to create one colored digital piece or a traditionally colored piece on non-lined paper.💎I don’t like my gift or the comment my giftee left. What should I do?Be kind and leave kudos/a comment on your gift, even if the style of it isn't your cup of tea. Creators of all levels are permitted, so be cognizant of that, and that someone went out of their way to make something for you. We have rules in place for comments, but unfortunately, we can't force people to comment a certain way.💎I’m not going to make the submission deadline. What should I do?You should default, meaning drop the exchange on AO3 or notify a mod you can't continue. There are no consequences for doing so. There is a 24-hour grace period allotted the date after assignments are due. However, default prior on or before the assignment due date if you're not sure you'll finish in those 24 hours.
